🗝 Guidance from Experts: Tom had the privilege of receiving training from locksmith extraordinaire Trevor Stroud, specialising in vintage lock restorations. This exposure to a variety of skills broadened Tom's expertise, making him well-versed in both general and auto locksmithing.

👨‍🔧 Apprenticeship and Partnership: Tom dedicated five years to honing his skills during his apprenticeship. The culmination of his hard work came when he was offered the opportunity to become a business partner with his father. This transition elevated Herne Bay Locks from a local mobile locksmith service to a business covering the entire southeast Kent region.

🚗 Expansion into Vehicle Security: The expansion wasn't just geographical; it also included a broader scope of services. Herne Bay Locks now provides a comprehensive range of vehicle security solutions, in addition to their expertise in general locksmithing.

🛍 Establishing a Storefront: In 2014, recognising the growing demand, the team opened a shop. This move allowed them to offer a more extensive range of keys, locks, and key-cutting services. The workshop became a hub for specialised lock suites, security vehicle lock fittings, key programming, lock repairs, and more.

👨‍🔧 Passing on the Torch: In 2018, the team took on an apprentice, Liam. Fast forward, and Liam is now a trained locksmith equipped with his own vehicle, contributing to the full range of locksmithing services provided by Herne Bay Locks.
